CSIR's support for National S&T Human Resource Development transcends diverse sectors and disciplines.
The Human Resource Development Group (HRDG) of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has a mandate to develop and nurture S&T manpower at the national level. It also promotes, guides and co-ordinates scientific & industrial research through research grants to scientists/professors working in universities/ R&D institutes.
To have an integrated approach to National Human Resource Development for Science, Engineering & Technology in close collaboration with academic institutions.
To invest in basic and interdisciplinary research that is harbinger of the 'high-tech' and technology of tomorrow.
To promote scientific temper by supporting academic/ R&D organizations to hold symposiums, seminars and conferences.
